Handcrafted two-color traditional Japanese hand towel, called a “tenugui”. Made in Japan from the original caligraphy of Aikido’s Founder, Morihei Ueshiba, called “O-Sensei”.
Horizontal orientation. Print says “Take Musu Ai Ki” in black with O-Sensei’s hankos in red.
Takemusu (武産) was O-Sensei’s concept of how the ultimate martial art should be, an art which can harmonize all living beings and free techniques could be spontaneously executed. In his later years, Ueshiba developed the more spiritual aspects of his art and even adopted the name Takemusu Tsunemori, under which he left many paintings and poems.
The tenugui has Versatile Uses – suitable for framing, hanging, use as a headcovering, or a sweatrag!
