Sydnie began practicing Aikido in 2015 when, during her trial class, she saw how lively and engaging the lessons were. She then decided to start training and progressed through all the colored belts of the youth program, eventually receiving her Shodan in 2022 and nidan in 2025.
She started working as the Program Assistant in 2023, and began to assist in teaching the kid’s classes. Sydnie’s favorite aspects of Aikido are how involved and engaging the classes are while also being peaceful and non-aggressive. She admires the ideas of peace and unity that Aikido fosters.
